One last update and question for today

After getting the idle switch operable I went back through the operation
tests and all injectors and everything else worked normally.

My spark test with the coil wire against the block yielded nothing.
Unless I am really not understanding something that means I have no
output from the coil. And I think I can hear the fuel pump coming on and
working normally during start and of course cutting out. I think this
ECU has a 3 second default if it doesn't see the engine running it will
not continue to run.

What I don't understand about this particular ECU is how the ignition
portion is handled. For instance, if there is no reference signal or not
strong enough G4 will it not allow spark and fuel pump? Same for G28?
Does the coil output get cut off by the computer if it can't see either
of these sensors? I'll do a basic check of the distributor clocking
while I am waiting for parts. But I think that is moot right now without
any spark to distribute.

Ordered a pair anyway as they have gotten cheap. Checking to see if I
crossed up anything in the reassembly. There is a coil on ebay for $14
right now so I am grabbing that too just as a safety.
