[A4] battery?

The last three mornings here in Charlotte have been in
the mid to upper 20's.  When I went out to start my
02, A4, I have tried to use the remote key.  When I
push the unlocking button, the alarm starts to go off.
I can not disengage the alarm with the remote, only by
inserting the key into the lock and holding it in the
unlock position.  When I start the car (no problem, it
fires right up), I have noticed the interior dome
light flickers on and off for about 30 seconds, then
turns fully bright before dimming out as it is
supposed to.  Any ideas?  Is my battery going?  After
it has warmed up for a few minutes, it will not
repeat.
