[A4] 1.8T warranty extension

Just my opinion, but when I saw AoAs change intervals for oil and filters years ago on my 97, I knew it would be a matter of time before this happened. Most Audi owners are far from enthusiasts, just putz around suburbia, to and from the course which is a killer on motor oil. These folks love these extended change intervals, less time off the course or soccer fields. The turbo exacerbates this if not warmed up properly or cooled down at least when necessary. I would venture a guess that most audifans and audiworlders will never see a sludge problem, but theres 90% of the others out there aiming these wonderful automobiles all over without a care in the world ...until something stops.
