Fellow A4 fans, I wanted to update you on my 'overboost' issues...well, at
least that's what I thought they were. If you recall, I put out a request
for help regarding my car stuttering at high boost (APR stage 1) but driving
fine in stock mode. I replaced the diverter valve with a nice shiny forge
one (very nice and shiny it is too...) and all the braided vacuum lines with
a silicone variety (www.ecstuning.com <www.ecstuning.com> ). Still the same
problem occurred. I then changed the N75 valve...not much better. A guy
called Ryan from the A4 forum list (audiworld.com) described a similar
problem, changed his spark plugs and voila! no stuttering. I then proceeded
to replace all four plugs, throwing away my old denso iridiums, and hey
presto..car goes like a rocket.....
Just goes to show that simple things are usually worth checking first!!!
