[A4] cruise not working related to secondary air vacuum?

Hello again,

I just had the LK recall done on my 2000 A4 Q 2.8, which replaced the
secondary air vacuum hose.

The next time I tried it, the cruise control didn't work. Just doesn't
"catch" when I try to set it. Mileage = 50K now.

One person said on the Bentley forums that most cruise issues are related to
leaks in the vacuum system. If this is true, could it be the replaced hose
isn't fitting perfectly and causing the cruise to fail, or isn't this hose
related to the main vacuum system?

Just trying to figure out if I should go back to the dealer who did the
recall and spend the time explaining this suggestion, or if there's not a
chance it's related.
