[A4] Turbo cool down time? (was Re: Noob ?s about A4 2.8)

Hi Tom,
all of the above is your answer... In stock form, the 1.8T's don't need
added cool down time, primarily because unlike your 1980's Dodge, the
Audi used synthetic oil, which isn't prone to coking. You can easily
wire up a turbo timer for about $75 to add insurance in case you chip
the engine or do any turbo upgrades. There's lots more info about these
