[A4] Too much oil??

That V6 idea was my first reaction.  But not checking the dipstick after
an oil change.  That's just delinquent.  I know my mech isn't bilking me
for unnecessary repairs.  he's on the level.  Best I've found.

I'll have them check the cat.

Sounds like someone thought you had a V6! The catalytic converter can
be damaged by an overfill. BTW,this is a common practice with the
dealerships in my town. The few changes I had done on both my 1.8 and
2.8 consistently were a minimum of 1 qt.over capacity. Think they are
lining up future repairs? In any case,the converter can clog up from
conditions caused by an overfill thus causing a really crappy running
car. Hopefully you caught it in time.
