[A4] Rattle/Vibration 1.8T

I have noticed a 'tinny' rattle or vibration from close to the exhaust
manifold/turbo area when I rev the car at idle. It only happens as the revs
decrease. I had thought it was a loose heat shield but then could not locate
the rattle. My fear is that it is an exhaust manifold crack/leak or some
gasket trouble? I have also heard the same noise on another car I drove some
weeks ago so it must be a common problem. Its horrible to have a noise like
this on an otherwise tight machine

any thoughts?
