[A4] torn half shaft

Hi, I have a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T non quattro manual transmisson.  I was told 
that I have a torn right front halft shaft and was given a quote of about 
$380 for the job.  I was just wondering what part exactly would need to be 
replaced and if the quote the repair shop gave me is reasonable for this 
type of job.  Thanks!
