this is a symptom of the igniton control module crapping out and it is a
common problem??
o Yes. Exciting huh? That'll be about $700. I was really impressed
by this one. Audi of America said, "Sorry about that." Thanks.
Anybody else have this problem and am I on the right track to
diagnosing it??
o Sounds right to me. My guess is that you can't really drive it now
right? No power? If so, I'd say you're right on.
My '99 A4 1.8tq did this at about 70k miles...sometime last year.

Hey
Out of no where my 99 A4 1.8 T began to misfire.
Hooked it up to my friends computer and it gave me a
"cylinder 2" misfire. I assumed it might be the
ignition coil--but through some investigation found
that this is a symptom of the igniton control module
crapping out and it is a common problem?? Anybody
else have this problem and am I on the right track to
diagnosing it??
Andy
