Ouch!

I'm not sure what "60k service" means, but they should explain to you what
exactly it is, otherwise you could be paying $520 for them to say "we did a
60k service."

Fluids: the price is right but your transmission fluid "never needs to be
changed" - take it to an Audi dealership and they will send you away because
they will refuse to change your tranny fluid. "It's a sealed system that is
never supposed to be flushed." Is what they told me.

$500 for a timing belt install is about right... do the Audi's use a belt,
or a chain for timing? If it's a chain, it should last 200k miles w/o need
for replacement. (My Saturn used a timing chain)

$350 for a water pump install is a little high but not too far-fetched.

hey guys,
I talked to European Auto Works in Mountain View (Bay Area) to
get an estimate of what I need to get done at 60k. They recommended
the following:
	60k service - $520
oils (driveline, transaxle, transfer case, etc.) - $100-$150
	timing belt - $505
	water pump - $350

this adds up to about $1525. what do you guys think? is this a good
price or not?

cheers,
steve
