You could always look to find a garage that will charge you just labor for 
installing the parts, and buy the parts from ECS tuning.  They sell a kit 
for $264.95 that includes all the parts for the TB repair.  The only 
problem that some people have had with this idea is that the parts will 
not be warrantied by the garage b/c you didn't buy them there.  And many 
shops will charge you a higher hourly rate b/c they are not making any 
money on the parts, etc (if they will do the work at all).

I am getting my TB done for a bargain.  My car is in the shop right now, 
today.  It had a Check Engine Light (CEL) come on and I had problems with 
the crank shaft.  I asked them "while you are in there" can you do my TB 
service and the quote for the parts and additional labor was only $380.00.

I am happy about that.  It is a little early for the TB service (i only 
48k) but it would cost at least $700 for me to do it in another 12k miles.  
So I am having it done today.
