[A4] Alternator brushes

Hi,
Removing the bumper is not very difficult after you pry out the lower bumper 
grills at their tabs.  Make sure that you have a good fitting hex socket to 
remove the bumper attaching screws, particularly if your A4 has been exposed to 
winter road salt. Removing the front wheels and tires also helps a little. 
With the front bumper, lock carrier and lower spoiler removed you will be able to 
see the front of the engine very well.  You will  probably get used to 
removing these parts to work on this area of the car. I have and it makes the front 
engine access much better.
