[A4] Sticker Shock!

Hi all,
  Well, I took the plunge and went ahead and ordered my 2006 A4 from the factory. I'm still recovering from sticker shock, however! My goodness - I didn't even include the navigation system (kaching - $1,950) or the S-line sport package (kaching - $3000.) Without those toys, the car still came in at $38,000! Yikes! As I was returning to dealer, I felt a bit better when I saw the sticker in the window of this beautiful A8 that was right next to the showroom - $75,000! For a minute, I thought I was at a Mercedes dealership!
  Well, all this said, I will tell you the 2.0 engine is a sweet performer - I have a 2002 1.8T and the newer engine most definitely has a peppier response and a slightly reduced turbo lag - two things I look forward to. As I've been auto shopping with my girlfriend, looking at cars like Volvo's and Acura's, I realize there are luxury cars, and then there are Audi's. I REALLY enjoy the way Audi's are engineered to appeal to the driving enthusiast and not just to those looking for a status symbol. Yep - I'm hooked!
