[A4] Spark Control on 1.8T

Regarding the three-spoke steering wheel: is there a build-date in '99 (or a
VIN) where the airbag design changed? I don't have shift buttons on my
steering wheel, and someone suggested that the contact ring in the steering
column changed mid-year.

I'm sorry for all the questions, but these cars seem to incorporate a lot of
"what's-in-the-parts-bin-today" features; very unlike the old T85.

There were several sport packages, all seperate.

One package was suspension and wheels
One was the 3 spoke sport steering wheel One included sport seating

I've seen A4's with a mix and match of these options.
