The only way to get the SKC is to hack the ECU and read what it is. Of
course that would require knowing where it is stored amongst the thousands
of lines of code.
This is where Audi has us by the short hairs. I've spent about a thousand
dollars over the past few years having key programmed for the Audis I get in
for sale.

Subject: [A4] Obtaining immobilzer SKC
Has anybody ever had any success in obtaining a secret key code for
reprogramming Audi immobilizers?
I've recently bought a '99 S4, which only came with one key; I got a
spare cut at the dealer, in the hope of programming the immobilizer as
per http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/key-matching.html - but the
dealer says there is no way they can get me an SKC, and that they now
use a system which dials up Audi HQ while the car is connected.
So just wondering if anybody knows of any way to get an SKC, or whether
I'm really going to have to pay the dealer the £70 they want to do the
recoding.
Thanks,
Richard
