[A4] Driver Information Display question (defect?)

heehee...

This may appear to be a symptom of auto-hypochondria, but this was a
warranty repair situation on the older dot-matrix type displays in the old
B5's..the solder joints would crack on the displays leading to missing
lines...I would have thought they'd have fixed that issue by now, but who
knows. Anybody who spends that amount of money on a car (Audi's are
expensive..), is quite within their rights to worry about the 'trivial'
stuff if they wish...
