Are you talking about the Dzus fasteners (the 1/2 turn screws)?
Various places online sell them as do VW dealers. Contact Jim at
dieselgeek.com (the guy who makes the Al pans). He buys them in bulk.

The Al pan is orders of magnitude stronger than the plastic ones. If
you live in an area where the roads are rough then the Al pan may save
the oil pan from an impact. The first time I "used" it was on a
smooth highway where I had no choice but to go over a piece of what
looked like 6x6 lumber. I hit it probably around 100 km/h. Other
than a scratch on the Al pan and lots of noise as the lumber bounced
around under the car, there was no damage. I have since used it
several times on gravel/dirt roads. It is well scratched up but no
significant dents.

No affiliation -- just a happy customer.

It is a bit more of a pain to remove for oil changes but once you've
done it a few times you learn the angles of approach and then it goes
pretty fast.
