[A4] Door-lock

Somebody have tried to break into my A3 2000, 
so I'm not able to stick my key into the door-lock.
If I'm lucky, the lock will still work if I'm able to get the key in.

Anyone knowing how much work it is to remove the inner pannels
to get access to the lock from the inner side?
Will I be able to take the lock out for repair/replacement?
If so, will the electrical locking still work, 
and be enough to keep thiefs away?
