[A4] Clutch interlock switch

I have been having sporadic incidents where the engine on my '01 1.8t 
will not turn over.  The battery is fine and I'm quite sure I have 
depressed the clutch pedal to the floor.  Dealer technicians suspect 
it is the clutch interlock switch, but there are no fault codes and, 
of course, it never occurs when in their hands.  Has anyone had 
experience with this problem?
