[A4] Electric Cooling Fan Going Out

You may remember a while ago (last winter) I wrote the list with a fan
squeal problem.  At the time I thought it was my inside circulation fan but
couldn't pin-point it.  Well, now that it's gotten cold again the noise has
started again - and luckily it's getting worse.  During a lunch run today is
started making all kinds of racket, so I popped the hood and low and behold
it was the electric radiator cooling fan shaking and rattling like Elvis on
speed.

My question to you is how hard is it to replace, where is the best place to
get a replacement unit, and how much should it cost?  I have seen a couple
of on-line places and they seem to run $100-150, but I'm concerned about
quality and fit & finish.  Just like you I don't mind saving a few bucks but
not at the expense of a quality part.  I just don't want an El' Cheapo
special under the hood.  Any thoughts you have would be great.
