I can say that I have saved at least $500 by having VAG-COM so I can
do a little diagnosing on my own before I take it into the shop. I
had a CEL recently, replaced my Bailey BPV with a 710N valve and
noticed that a vacuum line had rotted and fallen off. Total cost to
get the CEL to go away was about $45. I can guarantee that would've
been a $300 trip to the shop (minimum).
