[A4] Sludge Problem

If you can show that the oil was changed within 10K to 11K mile intervals (or 12K - I have heard both numbers) they should pay. It should be done using one of the specified synthetic oils, though I doubt they can expect that to be listed in your receipts. They may say the engine can be cleaned rather than replaced. This may be true (so far mine is fine), but that leaves you in question as to the engine's longevity and requires very frequent oil changes at first.
