Brizax  is correct.

I had a 97 A4 and the intervals on that car were every 5K  for OIL
changes.  They changed my oil on that car every 5k at the  dealership.
When I traded that car in for my 2001, they told me that  it would
only be coming in for service every 10K and that the oil didn't  need
to be changed other than every 10k.
