[A4] Timing Belt Tools

The 30v 2.8l V6 tensioning damper is quite robust. However, I have seen the 
damper wear out and lose its ability to tension the timing belt. The problem is 
trying to determine how much life is left in it. 
When you consider the results of a failure in the timing belt system, the 
approach I take is to change everything the timing belt touches except the cam 
and crankshaft sprockets. Also, you should change the camshaft oil seals and 
maybe the crankshaft oil seal. The accessory belt tensioner is less of a problem 
but if you are going to keep the Audi for a while change it also. The factory 
camshaft belt tensioning procedure calls for the cam sprocket to be loose 
while tensioning the cam belt. I have seen cam belts installed without the 
sprockets loose but that is not the approved factory method. But they worked for a 
while.
