[A4] Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy

Love affairs always start out that way. :)

I just passed papers on a new-to-me 1999 A4 Avant, 2.8L 30V, quattro,
Tiptronic, sport package, 115K miles, and a full set of grins.

The test drive revealed a nicely firm suspension, the brakes haul it
down fast and smoothly, seat heaters work, cruise control works, no
sagging headliner, no unwanted bumps or thumps, creaks or groans. I
couldn't test the AC (it was 17F). Nice finds: Tiptronic has
wheel-mounted shifters, and shifting it doesn't shut off the cruise
control. Radio has a 6 CD changer (that probably won't get much use). I
was surprised to open the hood and see -- nothing that could be worked
on, except checking the oil level.  I'll live with the mis-behaving
instrument cluster display (for now).

To do: change the timing belt (no history, but scheduled due in 5K
miles), change all the fluids (oil, coolant, transmission, diff?). 
And then enjoy it.
