Hey, I just did that...  Spent about that upgrading the '97 A4 2.8q to a
40v 4.6 V8.  The swap was real easy, I just searched around and found a
2005 S4.  :-)

I got lots of kudos from other drivers for taking it out to autocross
without real license plates on it.  :-)
