[A4] Strange Brakepad Wear

You may have unstuck while changing pads, but I think uneven wear is  
usually from the inability of the caliper to equally distribute force  
on both sides of the rotor...ie stuck guide pins.  This will lead to  
one pad on a wheel wearing more than the other.  If a caliper is  
stuck when you remove parts, that should be pretty obvious, and I  
don't think the force you/your mechanic will apply in changing those  
pads will be of a sufficient amount to unstick the caliper...think  
about the force the brake system applies verse the mechanic.
