i dont know eaw, but previous experience is always good. my personal
favorite is 034 - talk to javad, tell him i set you, they are a great shop
with competitive rates and do lots of custom work, so a basic engine swap is
s.o.p for them. only downside is that they can be slow [they're very busy,
which is a good sign] they also sell a lot of parts and have very good
pricing. i'd be very curious to know what your shop is charging you for a
new turbo. if it's more than 800 they're ripping you off. or their supplier
is ripping them off.
streetwerke is also liked in freemont [i think]. there is also 2bennett
audimotive in davis, a little far but audi rockstars. and advanced audi in
SF is also very well liked - i have several friends that get all of their
work done there.
you can at least call around, explain your situation and get some quotes. if
the clutch has any more than 80k on it i'd do it.
the car is at European Autoworks in Mountain View at the moment.
