An update on this... I'm going to end up selling the car to a junkyard
most likely. Before I do, anyone in the Bay Area interested in any
parts of it? The rear passenger taillight has a scratch in it, and the
rear driver-side door has a dent in it, but I believe everything else is
in good condition. It's a 2001 A4 1.8T quattro silver. I've got 17"
mille miglia evo's on 'em (with the original 16" rims in my basement if
anyone needs those), it's got the premium package (sunroof/autodimming
mirrors), the sport package (steering wheel, suspension, rims), the
xenon headlights, and the Bose sound system. my additional upgrades
i've done are CD changer, auxiliary audio input hooked up to the CDC (to
plug in an iPod or MP3 player), and a custom Bluetooth phone system that
wires into the car's factory phone system.

I'm phenomenally busy at work, so I don't have time to strip the parts
myself and mail them - so if you're interested, you'd probably have to
come and help remove the parts yourself and take 'em. Things that are
easily removable (like the CD changes, auxiliary audio input, Bluetooth,
or any easily removable parts) I'm willing to ship if someone non-local
wants those.

Make me an offer.

cheers,
steve
(sniff sniff, I'll miss my A4. For anyone who cares, the mechanic seems
to think it's the oil sludge issue, but I did a lot of my oil changes
myself and don't have documentation to pursue with Audi for any claim :(
