Hi Doug,
The OBII connector on my car is just behind the hand brake, next to the ash
tray. Open the ash tray, and there is a little plastic cover which slides
back and off. I find it easier just to take the whole ash tray out to make
room.
When I was looking for mine, someone suggested it was in the drivers foot well
on the inside column.
why do you want to plug a solar battery charger into the OBDII though? I know
it provides some power, didn't think the pins would be able to handle enough
current to charge a battery by.
You do realise there is something like three kinds of OBDII, most of the B5's
i think use the slowest one. All new cars use CAN - much faster.
cheers
Jon
