[A4] changing fuel filter

My 2001 A4 1.8tq is leaking fuel from the lower banjo bolt area of the 
fuel filter (it started soon after hitting a chunk of ice that was on 
the road).  I tried tightening the banjo bolt but it still leaks -- 
maybe I've cracked either the line or the filter.

Any tips on removing the filter? It looks like getting to the clamping 
bolt is a bit of a challenge.  BTW, what kind of bolt is it?  Standard 
6-point hex or is it an allen?  (That's how well tucked in itis).
