yep the stock FW is a dual mass with rubber center. like a metal/rubber
oreo. there are single mass alternatives available. actually i just did mine
in my 1.8ta4 and worldpac had a valeo [oem] clutch kit listed in their
catalog with a single mass fw. anyone with a worldpac account can order that
for you. 

034 would also have single mass options, as would ecs.
