[A4] Front wheel click

I just had a really bad click happening on my front drivers wheel and  
I don't know what it could be.  It doesn't seem to be a CV joint as it  
doesn't happen in corners but when going straight. And it's not  
constant; it only appears sometimes and stops when I stop the car.  
It's almost like a stick is stuck in the wheel or something but a  
quick look didn't reveal anything. The brakes look good with no broken  
pads (that I could see anyway).

Any thoughts?
