All 1.8T's should have their timing belts done at 60k miles.

you guys have reminded me to change the timing belt again on my 97 A4 which just turned 200k. it has been fantastic and a reliable car... on the most part.

i also have a 05 A4 Avant. does anyone know the suggested interval change for the timing belt? that one just turned 70k

thank you all.

I personally sold my A4 last month with 207,00 on the odometer, and picked up an 2002 A4 with 50k on the clock.

I consider myself?lucky in the fact that my mechanic bought the car for $3000 plus $1500 labor credit on the next car. (you always need something like a timing belt)? Basically the 98 only had a few minor issues.? Would it have made it to 300K?? Probably, but I was ready for a change, it served me well and he wanted a race car. So??the deal met everyone's needs.
