[A4] Are drilled rotors really loud?

You can get an idea if it is a wheel bearing when turning. The 'roar'
should increase/decrease during turns.
If it is a wheel bearing, it will last a long time 'roaring' before it
finally fails. When it fails, the wheel comes off.
When the car is jacked up you can try to move the suspect wheel as if you
were trying to change the camber and if it moves, your bearing needs
replaced.
I've had slotted and drilled rotors before and there is no sound like the
roar of a rear wheel bearing.
