[A8] Large Vaccum Leak-likely causes?

There are undoubtedly a number of hoses (with which I'm unfamiliar) in
the engine compartment that must carry vacuum. You might try squeezing
various vacuum hoses while the engine is running and seeing if one
collapses or loudly sucks air or otherwise reveals itself.

Also, clear the code and see if it comes back, especially while trying
the above.

Subject: [A8] Large Vaccum Leak-likely causes?

Hi All:

I have a 1998 Audi A8 Quattro with a check engine light on. My OBD tool
gave me only limited info on code definitions but indicates "A large
Vaccum Leak" and various other codes I don't know. Beyond a
loose/leaking gas cap are there any other common causes of this? Engine
seems to be running relatively normal.
Thanks-
John
