[A8] re: maximum tire size

Marty, 

I have a 97 A8 with 17" rims. I put on Michelin AVS/Sports, 245/50x17s about
a year ago. They are expensive ($200+ ea) but provide both wet+dry
performance and are quiet. I love them. Got them from Sears when they had a
10% off sale... that helped.
