[A8] Thinking about buying an A8 quattro. Should I?

Hi Britt,

I have a 99 w/99K miles.

No way can you do the timing belt. You need special holders
to hold the cams when you time it. Not something you want
to do unless you really know what you are doing.

Since you know Audi's, I don't need to tell you how good
quattro is. The good things about the A8 are power (300 hp
is very nice), ride, handling, comfort, and size. The bad
things are typical Audi (I think): electrical things break,
like cruise control, seat heaters, heated steering wheel,
etc. The real bad thing about the A8 is the transmission.
You can get lots and lots of information on AudiWorld:

Good luck,
Barry
