Simple things first is where I try to start. Binding bearings, something in
the way, worn out brushes. There are plenty of binding places that can hold
the whole thing up.

I'd vote for a bad motor. Sounds to me like you should check the voltage on
the motor, and if OK, then replace the motor. Certainly you can check that
the linkage isn't binding while you do that. If the voltage is not OK, I've
never heard of a wiper control unit, but it sounds like it controls the
voltage.

My windshield wipers have really slowed lately.
Any ideas on where to start trouble shooting? I have done some searching
and have seen things for the wiper motor, wiper motor linkage? and a
wiper control unit?
I flipped the wipers up off the windshield and the motion is still
slooooow.
Thanks in advance.
