[A8] Eliminating brake pad squealing

My 2003 S-8 had terrible brake squeal after new pads were fitted at 78,000 mi.  My technician re-surfaced the rotors to no avail.  He then swapped for a new set (same brand) from his supplier but they still squealed.  Then he bought a Mercedes Benz lubricant product said to eliminate the noise.  It helped, but on light application such as slowing  down when approaching a toll booth or in bumper-to-bumper traffic they squeal annoyingly.  If you get on the pedal hard-no noise.  However passengers don't particularly like that style of driving.   Has anyone obtained better results with a non-OEM brand?
