[A8] New to The List

I hate to pimp out the "other" place to go. But the guys at the D2
quattroworld.com site have a lot of experience + a good nudy pic on
occasion.
Nice to see the A8 AudiFans list light up a bit though!
I've got 2 '97 A8s and on '01 A8L
My tranny died in my first A8 at 172K about 2.5 years ago ( but with
some extenuating circumstances). Just got another one that was totaled
by a parking lot rear-ending. Plan is to switch out the trannys and
engine and get back to driving.

On the suspension, did you wait to tighten the lower control arm inner
bolt bushing with full weight on the wheel? And set the one upper
control arm at the right angle/measurement when you tightened it before
reinstall of the shock assembly?

The new A8 is 2,866 vin numbers off from mine. The new one has a build
date of 1/97 and my other one is 11/97, only the last 4 digits of the
vin are different.
