Vicent,

I have a front oil leak on my '97 also. A common thread on the 32v.
Mine doesn't leak bad, but with spirited driving it gets considerably
worse.
Fellow QuattroWorld owner fixed his. I now have his totaled car and Tozo
rebuilt trans to do a transplant in to my '97 A8.

Check this link for the pictures of the high pressure oil leak behind
the timing belt. You can do it without taking the engine out but it's
still major surgery on the front end.

As for the allroad, I like them, but I would look for one with the 4.2L
40v V8. Those 3.7TT are fun, but the small turbos wear out and a bitch
to replace. If I still lived in Colorado I would want the turbo ( which
only shortens the life even more ) but if I lived under 2000ft above sea
level I would go with the V8. I looked at several 3.7TT in CO a few
years back and they all seemed to have turbos on the way out around 100K
miles.

Britt
