You know I take that back.. I had dealt with the San Mateo store a few
times and they did right by me.. then a Redwood City store opened up and I
went there a few times.. Last time I had them re ballance my wheels
(lifetime ballance) cause they were all out of whack.. he tried to charge me
50 bucks again.. then.. I showed him my reciept that states lifetime and he
said thats wierd.. we don't normally do lifetimes on 18 inch wheels.. well I
don't expect him to remember, but it was he himself that wrote up the work
order and handled it with me.. Well I get it back and find out that there
are a million freaking wieghts on the rims and the wheels are not ballanced
at all.. I figure that the wheel is bent, but did they say anything to me
about it?? NO! Maybe the tires just need to be worn in a bit.. WHeel Tech
said that after a bent wheel is fixed it takes a 100 miles or so before it
gets back to normal..Well after a 600 mile trip to Tahoe.. the car is still
vibrating like MR BUZZY... Ok one or more wheels are probably bent.. I will
just take them into WHEEL TECHNIQUES to have them looked at as soon as my
other wheel is fixed by them.. So Saturday I am doing the car wash thing
and notice that one of the tires is all cut up on the side wall (Patty was
the last to drive it so I assume its all her fault) alas I digress.. Since I
have just picked up that wheel being fixed I decide to change them over.. As
I loosen the lug nuts I notice that some of the nuts are all chingerd up and
some of the nuts are done to roughtly the right torque.. some of them are
hard to crack even with my breaker bar (thank goodness I always use
anti-seize on my lug nuts/bolts)..... So ..
They don't torque the bolts right..the sent me off with tires that were NOT
ballanced properly OR bent OR both...AND they chingered up lug nuts that
cost $12 each..
I officially Change my mind and say that WHEEL WORKS is out and FIVE POINT
Tire in Redwood City is IN! Thanks for helping me see the light!
