OK, I'll chime in and put a good word for Brasil
Auto in E. San Jose (Alum Rock and White).  Knows
older (pre-A4) Audis very well, also MB, etc.  Not
a slick eat-off-the-floor-clean german place with
techs wearing smocks, just a single-lift grungy
looking
place that needs a paint job very badly.  But very
friendly and IME quite fair.  John runs the place,
brother Bill works there sometimes (and has promised
to eventually make another run of RS2 bumper covers
and help me put one on my coupe), and brother Rui
drops by often, though he doesn't have the S2 rally
car anymore.  He has a new WRX, and let me take it
for a spin.  Fun little car, but I digress..

John encourages me to bring my own parts, claiming
that I can get them cheaper by ordering a few days
in advance from Rod at TPC, whereas if he gets them he
needs them now and that means dealer.  My cq is there
right now, getting some of the worn rubber bits
replaced in the front suspension.  Parts sitting in
my garage for 3mo., finally gave up and took it in.

Besides, John is the only guy I know with an Audi
Sport sticker on his cell phone, he even has a
"quattro" badge on the front of his Suburban (painted
audi orange/black of course).
