Biggest weight reduction is the AC, get rid of that and you'll also improve
the balance of the car.  Other than that, you could get rid of the heavy
electric radiator fan and install a light aftermarket one, and interior is
after that.  You could get the manual regulators and parts off of an 84
quattro, but not sure if its worth the 5 lbs or so you'll save.

There really is no chip for CIS cars, in fact, the rev limiter is controlled
more by the fuel pump relay than the ECU.  TAP claimed that they could modify
your ecu for 10hp, a total crock if you ask me, you can more easily advance
the timing yourself.
