I believe the 87.5 came with the NF motor (the 130hp unit, used also in
the 5k and 100 from that point on). Or was it called NG in that
application?

I've not driven one but they have a good reputation; locally, Tony Lum
has/had one--Tony would never sell an Audi, would he?--and Wolff used
to.
