Best bet may be Pick-N-Pull price-wise. The yard in Moss Landing had a 4kq a
couple months back, but they turn most cars monthly there. However, I'm not
sure I would want to pull a trans from a car sitting up on old wheels as
jackstands, working on my back on piles of broken glass, etc. I guess if you
brought enough protection in the form of jackstands, something to lay on,
etc., it would help. I see transmissions and engines being pulled from cars
when I go so some people do it. The price sure is right (prices at
Pick-N-Pull are based on the generic part name, not make and model of the
car, for example engines are like $120.00 or so).
