Yup ... BTDT ... I spent a lot of time trying to find the tool as well ...
no luck.  I drilled a very small hole in the periphery of the seal and used
a small wood screw to grip the seal ... and then pulled the seal out with a
pair of pliers ... it came out fairly easily.  I used a socket to drive in
the new seal ... all seemed to work fine!
