That said, I would say that what you are recommending is something anyone
should do when dealing with any service vendor! If you aren't clear on what
they're doing and they're not clear on what you're expecting
miscommunication should almost be expected! The BMW Motorcycle repair shop
in Mountain View lost all my business for this reason ... and I thought I
did a good job of communicating. Like you, I never took them up on their
offer of giving me a break next time ...
It is too bad that you had a bad experience with GAS ... my BiL has been
dealing with them for years and knows Walter personally ... but then even he
is now having work done by an independent mechanic (no, not me ;). When I
see my BiL I'll get the info.
Given the car is an A4, I'm not so sure I'd go to GAS either.
